How to style – The Classic White T

Over the next couple of weeks I’m going to have a couple of different posts about the classic White T-shirt. Including, different ways you can style a Primark basic Tee. (This is one of my favourite wardrobe staples!) But up first, different ways I like to style  & dress up any T-shirt!

My go too outfit, like most normal people, is jeans & a t-shirt. Finally, the high street has finally started providing decent t-shirts for women! Gone are the days of having to shop in the men’s section to find a decent T-shirt, 2017 seems to be the year for the white tee & I am living for it!

This has definitely become a wardrobe staple of mine, whether I’m going out for food, to a friends or out for drinks the white T is your friend!

Especially now underwear is worn as outerwear, I also love that I don’t have to stress over what colour my bra is. I was, until recently, a bit shy about this whole trend. but with a couple of asos lace bras to hand, I now love it.

6 Tips for styling a white-T
1- Layering Necklaces

2- Rolling the sleeves – T-shirts that cut off mid bicep, can be less flattering, so try rolling your sleeves

3- Don’t be afraid of the tuck! – Find a way to tuck in your t-shirt that you like. This always helps to give a bit more shape to your T.

4- Underwear – don’t be afraid to wear colours / patterns & lace under the T. When done properly, this can look both sexy & classy.

5- Jumpsuits/dungarees- I also have a bit of an obsession with jumpsuits & a great way to wear them during the day or on colder days is style them with a white tee.

6- Layering – wear a camisole or dress over your tee, for a smart/casual look.

I hope some of this might give you some inspiration for your own wardrobe! Send me pictures & let me know if it does!

N xx
