Bab Mcr – A Review

What’s the first thing you think of when you think about kebabs? Dirty takeaways, grease, drinking & nights you would rather forget? Well, forget everything you think you know and have a gander at Bab.

One of the newest additions to the Northern Quarter foodie scene is Bab.

They have taken the humble kebab and made it both unrecognisable and amazing. From the fillings to the flatbreads they make everything themselves and it’s delicious!

Don’t get me wrong, I’m sure that their are lots of places around the world where you will find kebabs like this, but this is the first time I have tried them and I think they might just be my new favourite thing.

I went for the delicious chicken xxxx & my boyfriend went for a falafel xxx. Not only are they packed full of flavour, the flatbreads are easily one of the best I have ever tasted! We also shared some loaded fries, topped with feta, olive crumb and xxxx.

This little spot is actually tucked away, around one of the corners on Stevenson Square. Like a lot of spots around the city centre, they have opted for a laid back Manhattan/ industrial vibe. Complete with cocktail bar and subway tiles.

This may sound a bit odd, but along with the flatbread, one of my favourite things was discovering xxxx sauce. This was on the fries and my wrap. This made the food have such a delicious and unique flavour! Definitely something I’ll be looking to make at home & would recommend everyone to try.

If you want something reasonably quick, filling and affordable then Bab needs to be on your ‘to-eat’ list this year!
